In theory and in practice

Some things are good, in theory. Like a larger oil filter that allows an extra 1/2 quart of oil to keep the engine nice and cool and wear free.

But, when the extra-large oil filter can't be removed without punching it full of holes with a chisel (because there's no room to work an oil filter wrench on there..), and the same extra-large oil filter means that you can't get a socket on the drain plug, well theory sorta goes out the window.

That's only going to happen to me once.

On a good note, the magnetic drain plug had very little metal on it. Either that means the engine is healthy, or it's so worn it's not wearing much anymore :)
