Oh God, I'm now one of the gas-guzzling, SUV driving, obnoxious f**kwads who drive BIG ASS trucks. Specifically, a Suburban. But, I really like the 'burban. It's a kickass ride: leather interior, heated seats, room for 7, and tow package. It also has a gas-guzzling 5.3L V8 and a 9000 lbs. max tow capacity, which is more than enough for my pathetic little race cars.
UPDATE 12/26/08
I've been living with it now for several weeks, and aside from being a gas-guzzling pig, it's quite nice. Fresh Blizzaks and full-time AWD are good on the ice and snow, and the heated leather seats are posh. It creaks a bit when it's below 20 deg., but it's quite reliable, even in bitter cold temperatures. The suspension needs to be lubed, and it should probably get new shocks (Bilsteins) and a full fluid change to heavy duty grade fluids. The Blizzaks work well with the ABS, GM ABS seems to really prefer grippier tires than the Firestone Destination LEs it came with. When the weather is less shitty, it'll get some Load Rating E severe service tires.
